Finance Clerk

Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Reports to: Head of Finance (UK) and Operations Director (US)
Responsible for providing effective and efficient financial support to the management and non-finance teams of BGB Technology, and its US associated Group of companies as required, and supporting the implementation of a high quality, cost effective, and customer-focused service, within an ISO9001 Quality Management environment.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Assisting the Head of Finance and Finance Officer (UK based) as required
Purchase and sales ledger processing and administration
Coordinate with purchasing and inventory management to resolve delivery and invoice queries and the sales team and colleagues to resolve queries
Sales invoice processing
Credit control monitoring and administration
Review debtor list
Contact customers as required for overdue payments
Report discrepant customers to Head of Finance / Directors
Process customer payments monitoring and management
Cash and bank processing and administration thereof
Provision of support for the payments and bank transactions as required
Support for monthly management accounting process
Review and ensure expenses are authorized and paid promptly.
General administrative support as required
Fixed and intangible asset management for the US BGB Group
Occupational Skills include but not limited to:
2-3 years of experience in business accounting preferred and willing to work towards recognized accounting certification.
Experience in purchase and sales ledger processing (essential).
Ability to work within strict deadlines and maintain an acceptable level of accuracy (essential).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers, suppliers and staff. (essential).
Accuracy and attention to detail in all processing and administrative processing.
Professional conduct and performance and support BGB Group 'one team' philosophy.
Maintain work responsibilities at all times in line with the company's 5s principles.
Work within the Health and Safety expectations of OSHA.
This could be considered as a part time role for the appropriate candidate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
