Applications Engineer
This role is responsible for leading process and product development project teams for Honeywell's Advanced Materials businesses. The key job duties will be leading new product development programs, material design, trial execution, and performance validation in application. Specific areas of focus include fiber and composite applications for industrial, recreation, and ballistic market spaces. The role coordinates and manages these projects in a cross functional setting working with other Technology group members as well as Manufacturing, Commercial and Engineering. Additionally this role will interface with key customers to provide technical support in the launch of new products to drive adoption. This employee may be a team member on projects they do not lead and responsible for.
Basic
Qualifications:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science or closely related discipline.
Preferred
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in polymer process or product development.
Experience leading teams in cross functional environments
Fiber or film processing experience (research, development or manufacturing)
Olefin or Fluoropolymer processing experience
Project management experience
